The sum of the infinite series reaches 4. Similar to how the distance between 2 points can be divided in half an infinite number of times, but if you add up all the halves, you will get the entire distance. Ahhh I see what you're saying. I was thinking of it graphically as in 4 is a vertical asymptote (4 doesn't exist) so it would technically never reach 4.
