    I was having the exact problem you are describing and this is what worked for me: With the start menu search "Default app settings", select it. At the bottom you'll see "Reset to the Microsoft recommended defaults", select reset. Now, make sure you have the latest java installed. Then right click osbot and select "run as administrator". It should open automatically. Again, this was what worked for me; it may not work for you.
