You have valid points, but I think its more like this. The mainstream media ( which is owned by a few company's ) are polluting the minds of the citizens to help keep us ignorant and attached to all these dumb shows and trails that you speak of and not the real issues. They want us like George Carlin said "Smart enough to do your job but, dumb enough to not critically think". As for the Police, They have a couple jobs, revenue to keep the government and the war machine afloat, and enforce Draconian laws. They want us so afraid that we don't speak out against the corruption we see. If you watch any alternative news you will see time after time a pig fucks up big time and gets a paid suspension when he deserves jail time. & don't get me wrong there are some good honest cops that are standing by their Constitutional duty, and I applaud them. Just a heads up, the games rigged.
