    I have some computer programming knowledge as I took a class for it junior year in high school.  I'm considering trying to make my own simple bot and teaching myself java.  My question is, when I was learning coding everything had to have a name.  Where do I find the names for everything is rs or do I name them something myself?? Ex. If I wanted my player to attack a goblin, what would I name my player and the goblin?  Would be great if someone could answer.  Hope I'm making sense.

     

    Every monster in RS has a id, for example 4523. You assign that number to a variable like so :

     

    int Goblin = 4523;

    could be many things,

     

    some errors for groovy dont show up in eclipse and the client so when it complies it just wont load. An example of this is when you save the .groovy with the wrong name labled in the class (NAME) it wont load into the client but wont show you an error. lol.

    great work Maxi im defo proud to sit in this community! my best moment thus far was when the first scripts were released and i could use them to learn what i was eventually going to make :)

    be abused? lol whaaat dont be so stupid, what if you post a thread with a spelling error? or wish to use is for another purpose at a later date i dont see how it could be abused, just saves mod time tbh. I already needed one changes just few days ago due to a spelling error.

    hey there seens the chat has either been removed or moved idk not been online much lately. I see the link is still on the homepage, not very helpful for new visitors and prospective customers. could we get Kati to fix of remove the link ? I can do it if you want.. html/php/css is my irl job after all..

    this board is open to all members of the forum. every member has the right to express their opinion as long as it does not break any rules. don't try to be smart about it, if you can't accept criticism the internet is not for you. 

     

    and it doesn't matter if you comment on things I post? I don't know what you are getting at

     

    I am aware that everyone has an opinion that's fine i have no problem with that, i do have a problem with people just trolling for the sake of it. Every word in all 3 posts is very informative and put in the most basic terminology possible. Even more so than the dummys book posted else where. If even 1 person learns from my help then i will be happy so pipe down if you don't like it don't visit the thread. Simples. /End discussion on that one.

    sorry but this is an necessary tutorial. if people want to learn Java they should go by a book written buy professionals (or torrent one). following an online guide teaches you incorrect techniques and only the very basics, plus you won't learn anything about the language it self.

     

    i don't believe i comment upon content you publish in the graphics section? As such if you dont have anything positive to say, do not comment. you should know that by reading the mod CP area rules. /End.

To win, alls you have to do is play a series of 1v1s in a knockout bracket. Obviously the more players that take part the bigger the prizes. On that note there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd. The game of choice is black ops 2 on the xbox 360 for now. We will be using certain settings with the usual competitive gameplay rules. Which means no explosives and some other critical settings i will post them later!
