Could you get any like lawsuit or fines from botting?

Featured Replies

Like i sell my 07 gp. I only bot like a few accounts nothing bad. (1 osbot)  now is there anyway for jagex to like lawsuit or fine me?

They could because you are selling their property (gp). However won't because if they went after every RWTer it would just be chaos. If they were to go after RWTers they would go after the huge ones.

The selling of GP is not illegal. While it may seem illegal, it never actually leaves the property of Jagex. At all times they still control anything digitally happening in their game. That's why, RSPS's get in trouble. They take something that's Jagexs' and take it out of their possession and make money off of it. Selling GP is just against Jagex's T.O.S. which could then get you banned from the game. That's why you see all those huge gambling accounts, such as FishyRS or whatever his name was get banned.

Long story short, you are fine. :)

doubt they would go through the effort of creating a lawsuit over some small time dealers maybe the big ones with their own websites like playkiller etc

anyone get these emails in 2011:

"If you ignore our offer and instead continue use botting software, we reserve our rights to pursue statutory damages against you for between $200 to $2,500 per act of past, present, and/or future botting," the letter states.
