Will dropping a class affect financial aid severely?

In Canada if you're with OSAP it might. Especially depending on your program. But for instance you got 100% course load of 5 courses, and you take 1 off and you've already received your payment they wont take it off. But they may reduce your next payment assuming you'll use the money they already gave you and you didn't use for the full course load you'll take in the next semester.

Depends for me I have to take 30 credit hours a year to maintain my scholarship, so if I take 12 credits in the fall then I'd have to take 18 in the spring. Or 15/15 for fall and spring semesters. But I have to take a minimum of 12 credits per semester. I'd read the fine print for your financial aid, they all differ.
