Alching vs Superheating?

Featured Replies

I've seen a few people mentioning that you lose less money, sometimes profit when Superheating, is this true? Also what would you suggest smelting ^^

Thanks guys :]

If you superheat steel then make cannon balls you CAN profit. However Im almost positive any form of super heating is less loss than alching.

Steel for example.

Iron ore x1 ~~53gp

Coal ore x2 ~~392gp (196x2)

Nature rune ~~240gp

Total per heat. ~~ 685

----------------------------------

Steel bar. ~~720gp  (45gp profit per heat)

Cannonball~~ 960gp. (4 per bar @ 240ea) (275gp profit per heat)

^^^current zybez prices.

Hmm, I've always thought alching made more profit than superheating but if this seems to be the case I'll check up on the prices and get superheating steel. Haha.

Wow! I never new you made money with superheating. Thats great.

yessir! If you start at 43 mage and 35 smithing and Smelt steel+make cannon balls at 275gp per bar, to 99 mage youll make around 67m.  as well as get around 95 smithing.

And with the fast route excluding cannon balls you'd make around 11m @ 45gp profit per bar and get about 86 smithing!

You guys are idiots. Do you even know how long smithing cannonballs takes?

Which is why Information is added with rates@ not smithing the balls and just smelting steel and selling the bars.

Id say superheating over alching, although you probs loose more money than alching, but in the end you get 2 skills instead of 1.

you MAKE money super heating. you DONT alching.

As for exp, i believe its around 40-50k/hr magic and around 7-12k smithing ( steel bars )

Dont quote me on the smithing, but yeah.

93 mage....560k from 94. Now i read this topic, I alched 120k nats and 120k fire runes and lost all the money i put into buying both :P lol this seems it would take much longer tho isn't superheating less exp/hr then alching? Then u have to make em cannonballs, then u have to sell em.

If you use a bot to all the above higher chance of ban.
