Searchable Api?

Featured Replies

The one thing that has stopped me from being a script developer at this point is that the API lacks organization, or rather, any method to search it. Maybe I am vastly overlooking something but using the API I can't really see an adequate way of finding the desired functions that do certain things.

Am I just expected to go through each class and study and learn each individual function before I script? Perhaps is there a page with all functions on it? Sorry if this is a nooby question but I have spent a couple hours studying the API trying to find an efficient manner of navigating it.

Thanks for reading... I have a lot of good script ideas I would like to create, and I know the functions exist for them, I just don't have any method of locating them in the API that doesn't involve manually looking through every class.

It is slightly unorganized to my likings too, although MethodProvider I've noticed has many functions you would usually find elsewere

I sort of wish it was set up with a tagging system in mind. Like all functions that have to do with banking would be tabbed with banking. Or all functions that have to do with interface selection such as item finding in inventory, spell casting, etc under a tag of Interface.

That way if I wanted to find all functions related to NPC information or clicking them, I could just look under NPC.
