July 18, 201312 yr Hey guys. Kyle here, and I just decided to post this here to see if I could help out. I know it's a lot to ask, but here it goes. My niece was born with Down Syndrome. She just had her 4 year old birthday party just in March, and she is the brightest bundle of joy that I have even known. She is also the most courageous little girl I know. You see, most all of children born with Down Syndrome are born with a heart defect. Her heart was leaking bad blood (deoxygenated blood) into the good blood (oxygenated blood), and over time that can cause the heart to work too hard and finally give out. Well on April 25th, she went in for her surgery, and the doctor found a couple more issues while he was operating. Emery had a right aortic arch, which means that her Aorta, obviously, arched off towards the right. And he also found a rare vascular ring. You can click on vascular ring to found what it is. But nonetheless, she had to have countless x-rays, blood work, examinations, and even had to stay 8 days in the hospital. But now I get to the point, we are having a benefit to help raise money for the outlandish medical bills. I know, that it's a bunch to ask, but literally any bit helps. If you would like to help, my family and I would greatly appreciate it. If not, that's ok! We just ask for your prayers as Emery grows and learns! Thanks for taking your time reading.
July 18, 201312 yr Of course I'll donate. This is a heartwarming story and she will be in my thoughts and prayers. Got a paypal I can send some cash to? Edit: I unliked OP because it was sort of awkward to like something so sad. I originally liked it because I supported the cause. Edited July 18, 201312 yr by Nosaj
