Upgrading my PC.

Hello, so as the title states i'm looking into dual monitors. I've gotten into streaming games but can't seem to fit all of the applications/windows on one monitor screen. (needed to have a much cleaner less unprofessional stream)

I've looked up multiple videos, checked out forums, all of them are much too advanced in computers than I am..and I kinda considered myself more knowledgeable than others when it came to computers hah, but boy was I wrong.

What i'm wanting to do:

Have many applications open that don't overlap one another.

I thought that all I needed was a simple larger sized monitor screen/resolution, but I can't seem to find any help about that anywhere.

What I would like to know:

My current monitor: http://prntscr.com/7bn4ft (if posting links is against the rules I apologize ahead of time. )

1. What would I need in order to have a larger display of applications without having to shrink/re-size/minimize in order to fit everything together? Streaming the game that I stream (OldSchool Runescape) I run the client, Xsplit Streaming software, A few minimized windows that allow requested music, a small re-sized window green screen that (if not over laping with anything or minimized) will give the stream animations and such. I also run on Windows 7.

2. If a bigger monitor isn't the answer, I also have a laptop

Display: Mobile PC Display

Resolution: 1280 x 800

Landscape.

Also runs on windows 7.

32 bit operating system, 2.00GB ram, Intel® Core2 CPU

TZ7200 @ 2.00GHZ 2.00 GHz

Not sure if any of that helped, but i'm desperate.

Would these two be capable of running duel monitors together?

^^ I typed, copied then pasted that to so many Youtube how-to videos, so if I sound weird stating what game i'm playing, whenever we're on an Oldschool Runescape botting site..I'm sorry hah. But please, anything helps.

It depends on what you have for a laptop. If you have an HDMI or VGA out you'd likely be able to drive 2 monitors without a problem.

I run two 27" HD monitors @ 2560x1440x32 on DVI and HDMI.

I would definitely recommend this, the high resolution is good as it allows you to run multiple open windows without them overlapping.

Thank you :) That's what i'm hoping to get done. If it isn't too much trouble, Could you send me a picture through PM of what it looks like (The monitors together and the PC they're connected to.) It would help me out a ton.

Sure thing, I'm not at my computer at the moment, but I can when I arrive home.

I'm currently running OS X so it will look different to Windows, and I can also post the specifications for my machine.

You're a life savor.

Make sure your graphics card either has 2 separate ports (eg 2 HDMI or 1 HDMI and 1 VGA) or one DisplayPort (DP1.1+ allows you to chain monitors), and it should work fine.
