He then came back saying it worked. and we continued with the trade and he then scammed me.

But considering this being posted in the spam section and his farewell thread I think he just scamquit. Edit: I just read his other thread and he clearly admits to scamming, so therefore I banned him. If he's still willing to refund he can appeal, I'm sorry for your loss.
