Foakley Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 We represent Oakley, Inc., owner of the OAKLEY Trademark, in anti-counterfeiting matters. Plaintiff has charged you and other Defendants in a Complaint with violations related to trademark infringement and counterfeiting laws. A United States Federal District Court has issued a Temporary Restraining Order (“TRO”) permitting our client to transfer your domain to our control and/or restrain funds in your PayPal account. A copy of the Complaint and TRO is available at <http://gbcinternetenforcement.net/14-7714>, which will be updated regularly throughout these proceedings. You are advised to seek legal counsel. If you believe that you have been improperly linked to this case or received this email in error, promptly contact us at attorney@gbcinternetenforcement.net so that we can further investigate your claim. They are telling me I sold counter fit sunglasses. (Dont look at my OSbot name and assume I did I sold authentic oakleys on ebay lol) Wondering what you guys think Is this just like a threat/warning telling everyone who got this email to stop? I just feel like this was written very poorly and the link that i looked on that it has looked really fake... Like im assuming someone just did this as a sick joke which is terrible lol. Who would go after a teenager that sold 4 oakleys.

Empathyfaith Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) Nope thats why I feel that its fake. Lol, the way it's sent? Fake af. Plus, the amount of phishing emails sent now-a-days are a lot. Ignore it. If they try to pursue it further, just let them contact you first, never contact them. Then if it's real, you can tell them you were taking safety precautions ofc. Edit: Also, I know a fake email sender. I won't link ofc, you can google it, it's on first page easy. I can send you the exact email he sent in 5 seconds. Edited October 18, 2014 by Empathyfaith
