I have never personally had experience with any appeals of mine being successful, especially if it was for a macroing offense. I believe someone posted an unban guide somewhere on this site a while back, but I'm not sure where to find it I used to do that shit when I had time to play. You cant really blame jagex for banning botters. Having that said i think in this case you could have your account unbanned if you mail them and they see a different ip then normal. I've seen a guy get unbanned sending the bohemian rhapsody lyrics, lol. But obviously the ban was a mistake, the appel will only help the mod to see if there is something wrong or not. If the last IP logged on the account was your friend's IP, there's a chance it can be unbanned saying it was hacked. But if they are sure that YOU were the one botting, they wont even answer the appeal. The best thing you can do is try to send a twitter message. Almost sure they always answer the twitter messages.
