A small simple tutorial how to increase the quality of an Animation

Featured Replies

I see alot of animated text's and sprites that are so simpel tweened, and it bugs me.

So i show a few examples how to increase the quality by doing it the same way but on a difrend way.

The Basic way that everyone does. (what bugs me)

A simple way to make it alot smoother and professional.

A Motion blur

But it still ends so abrupt, so to make it nice and easy, we add an Ease out

To make it end less abrupt and give it a natural feeling.

Now the animation looks more decent, but what i like is some living effects.

This is my taste, of what i like.

A Wiggle

This makes it feel like its a real thing, and makes it look more epic (in my opinion)

I've putted this together and very quik, so its not the most beautifull looking guide, but it shows my point.

I think that's mainly because everyone creates their animations in Photoshop and not in After Effects, and you don't have that many options available for animation in Photoshop. Nonetheless these are some good tips, thank you for sharing them.

nice tut which can help a lot of ppl out

Like Dex said, this is harder for photoshop users because the options aren't that simple for beginners.
But nice tutorial to help new start designer on this site.

Ofcourse would it take longer, but it could be done :p

It just takes a while, but the end result is much better ;)

Also it was just a tip, nothing is a must, but it just makes that animation feel slightly better :]
