Someone inform me about OSRS/Bot after 3 months of travelling

So I was a regular OSBOT user, but when I got the opportunity to travel for 3 months I took up that offer. 
Therefore I have no idea what I'm doing any more on this website/OSRS since having no time to check anything related with Runescape.
Is the bot still effective? 
Is it risky to bot now?
Just need to be informed that's all :)

Welcome back. Ban rates are high right now. I suggest not botting for a bit till things hopefully slow down. RS has a few different updates, new clue items etc...

I was on a bit of a warpath to destroying my character after laptop dying and losing my entire bank though LOL
