I thought I'd post this as a potential heads up.

 

I've been playing Runescape off an on these past 8 or so years, botted every now and then, went through half a dozen bots. I recently joined back barely a week ago because one of my friends was playing, and I thought I'd try my hand with scripting since I've took up programming.

 

Fast forward a week, I'm still trying to work out the api, and get my script to work yet it doesn't and instead i justI bot overnight at barbarian fishing, (after several overnight botting of masterfarmers, rangeguild, and iron mining).

Wake up, client isn't open, client won't open, check website, log into my account and get that instant disconnection.

Well I knew I was banned, wasn't entirely surprised. I had two warnings and two bans over the past years.

 

Try to log in again to get account disabled message instead I get invalid username or password with what i just used to log in.

 

I try to check if this is usual for a ban, and I only find this thread, and many people said it was nonsense.

 

When I tried to login on the main rs3 website, I got the same error, and tried to get a password recovery.

 

What confirmed my suspicion that the account was deleted was when I got the email and it said this.

 

 

Character Name Unavailable.

 

I try to change my password to the password that I've been using and get this

 

 

So I actually do change it

and I still get a Login error, followed with an incorrect loging password message.

 

It seems like Jagex is nullifying accounts caught for botting, and basically trolling. Well I'd say it's working pretty good, and I thought I post a heads up to OSbot to confirm this is actually happening and isn't a product of being hacked or being phished, I haven't been phished since I was 11 and even then I was able to recover my account.

 

I was very casual with how I botted, and I never made multiple accounts all with 99s, I didn't like the game enough to bother. So there goes my one and only main, at least maybe I can get on with my studies, instead of writing on crappy powermining scripts that don't even work.

Saw this happening today too. The player who got deleted is called [#QDL7AMNGY] in my friends list now. Hes previous name doesn't show up in highscores, login doesn't work. Maybe instead of perma banning they just delete accounts now, so the names are available again and they don't have to deal with appeals.

Wtf ? today one of my pals got 2 day ban for boting hunter and I got this bull crap . Actually i logged in and than it showed connection lost .. 

You might want to message them and ask whats going on. At 6a.m. EST this morning. Jagex put up an update. it shut the servers down for about 10 mins while they implimented the update. Your account may have gotten lost in the update. It has happened to me before I even botted.

I logged in yesterday, on an nooby acc, which I haven't played on for like 800 days, it had like 20+- of those people. 

I lost my really old account i do not know what the deal is

cant sign in to ban appeal either says invalid pw.

Well so far I can log on the site and my character is still in the hi scores. Fingers crossed that logging in wont ban me haha.

try world hopping thats when i got banned i was only logged in for 20sec, however.

 

They may ban flagged accounts who spend short times after an update......?

So I'm guessing it's a good idea to play legitly for a week. Gf bank.

How do you know if you're flagged? I've been transferred to w385/386 a bunch of times but hopped worlds before anything happened.

have u tried changing ur username?

i had a account that said invalid username and all that junk ur talking about but really what happened was my username was inappropriate cause and they legit deleted my name, all i had to do was go to change username and i was good to go, i had all the same stuff mentioned that u did, no character name and all that, Try it out it might work haha! 

^ my username was two letters and those two letters were the same letter IDT it was offensive

 

 

I accepted I am fucked and lost 8m!

This happened to my friend, if you have something offence to your name, Jagex locked the account and name changed it.
