Chance to be banned botting?

Featured Replies

Just wondering how likely I am to get banned botting if I do it a few hours a day on my main account. Just stuff like combat and tanning hides for a bit of cash.

Cheers

Tanning is good but I would take extra precautions with combat. I recently got a 1 day ban on my main for combat and it ran for almost 5 hours.

You're pretty safe if you don't bot 24/7 and dont bot skills that are heavily botted (like yews, green drags, etc)

Also, it depends on your timezone. I would avoid botting at times where it is work hours for Jagex, which is 9am - 5pm GMT. Input that into your computer and see what time range that is for you, and don't bot within those hours. Lucky for me, when England goes to sleep, its morning for me.

The problem is I am from the UK, do you still recommend I only bot 5pm GMT onwards?

yep. I believe Jagex does not have any means of automated bans, so the only way you can get banned is manually...and you can't get manually banned if they're not at work.

Kk thanks mate. My account is quite old but I've only started playing runescape 2007 a few days ago, how long should I play legit before I start botting?
