Using more RAM on my vps?

Featured Replies

Hello all, Today I purchased a vps for botting and have been able to bot easily on it (big thanks to carbonVPS) just been having one problem that botting is really slow on the vps, on ____Bot I was able by increasing the amount of memory from 256Mb to 700Mb and that fixed the problem, was wondering could someone please guide me step by step or just tell me what to do to make osbot allocate more memory.

Open putty.

Type "top".

Find java process ID (while osbot is running).

Close putty.

Open putty again.

Type "renice -20 PROCESSID"

I'm telling you now, I wouldn't bot on a VPS. I heard Jagex is cracking down on the popular VPS providers and banning accounts playing under their IPs.

They cannot do that. People could be playing legit on a VPS if they wanted to, Jagex can't just arbitruarily ban people for playing on a VPS.

They could easily monitor the account playing under the Ip's and if they see a flaw which a human would not make they have all the right to ban them. But it's highly unlikely because 90% of working bots on OsBot are 85%+ flawless. (from what I have used at least)

Some of the statements/claims in this thread are pretty funny. Clearly some people in this thread do not know what they are talking about.
