question about being banned [help]

Featured Replies

okay here is the question: i have 2 accounts 1 of the account is botting and the other 1 (my main) is playing ligit. i am on a vpn do my main gets any chance of being banned?

please help

There is a chance, but if your botting account isn't doing anything goldfarming related (picking/spinning flax, mining, fishing, woodcutting etc.) then I don't think it will be banned. Although I think Jagex are starting to just put "goldfarming" bans on all botting bans, if you are making money or not, so I'd watch out, and if you care about your main then don't bot while playing on it oruse a different ip to the one being botted.

I goldfarm and what I can tell you is that if you're botting 2 accounts, they receive a 2 day ban, if its 3+ it'll be banned for goldfarming, perm. So to answer your question, if you're running 1 bot and 1 legit, you should be okay, If you were to up it to 2 bots and 1 legit, your IP will be flagged and all the accounts currently logged into that IP will be perm'd.

i've botted nearly 30 accounts, many 24/7 purely for making money, put the money on my main and used mules, and over 20 are banned, and I have never had any other account (including my main) banned which I did not bot. Apart from a 'mule' and was banned under otherban 'muling' where i collected from my bots and stuck it all on a lvl 3 then sent to my main.

thanks all. ill try to get my main and goldfarm accounts seperated.

Your chances could be greater being banned on a VPN if anything, due to sharing subnets with RWT sellers and people who bot. But that's just using common sense and may not be true, I personally don't believe in IP flagging due to the fact people using separate private IP's get wiped out on a daily basis and most of the people who even started this IP flagging theory are in fact resellers of a service who can offer you "fresh IP's".

Also the fact that if it was just as easy as changing IP's we could stay under the radar? I don't think jagex would make it that easy to be honest.

Edit: Forgot to say this is just my knowledge from going through over 600 account since 07 began and a certain bot beginning with W that got shutdown smile.png. - My experience was not to do with IP's but rather patterns and being stupid at times.

yeah there's a chance, since they can tell you that you're macroing goldfarm for the main (like your bot earns money for u wich u use to give to your main account)
