[Read] Jagex New Ban "Account Gold Farming?" [Read]

Maybe they use things like HWID( hardware ID ) combined with name of pc,browser user agent, OS etc?

IP is just 1 of the couple things they can see.

Guys - Depends on your botting rate. I am botting same account for over 4 years  , i had only 2 day ban - was my bad that i left bot running at catherby "most bannable place " and didnt come home , forgot about bot , and came back home , 2 day ban.

I play legit , go to pvp , slayer and do minigames sometimes.

Botting half of the skills and stuff..

Just depends on how you bot and how much time and where :) that's all.

They goldfarm-banned a couple of my WCers as they were leveling up at oaks. Had not sold a single item, nor had i recieved any (not that it matters). I raged hard then loled at the ridiculousness of the situation. Non flagged ip (no previous bots or bans on it).

my2p:

They are now banning for breaches of tos they THINK you will commit.

Like they could basicly ban you at tutorial island cus u are clicking past the dialogues thinking "Aha this guy must be a botter since he knows all the tut steps" bam ban all accounts on that ip.

This is like future united states where you get executed for "thought crimes". Someone got a good lawyer? Send him their way lol.

Macroing is against rules, they don`t care if your were golfarming or not, doesn`t matter.

Anyway, i feel sad i`v red something like this.

Like anyone on this site I'm here to bot; though if you're botting there will always be the high possibility you could get banned. Just this time Jagex doesn't really want to give you a correct reasoning to your ban.
Gl to everyone though, hopefully not to many more people get bans!

if you're running more than 1 account at a time of a ban your gonna receive gold farm ban no matter what your botting if you only have 1 account running its only usually a botting minor.

Just to add to my previous post a little more insight on my part:

They track more than IP, trust me.

After going through over 600+ accounts now since early wbot was released, IP is just one factor.

When you're still getting hit with goldfarming bans with different IP's per account, using vpn's and proxies you start to realise that it runs far deeper than just IP changing.

Also for anyone going about changing their IP, please never use a VPN, Jagex are tracking VPN's down and if you use the same subnet as someone else you're gonna get floored as well if you truly believe in IP flagging.

Proxies can also be the same, but if I had a choice I would choose proxies over VPN's, HOWEVER.. as I said it runs far deeper than just IP's, there's so many variables that go into it, honestly we will never know and can only speculate, but I see a lot of "don't run 2 accounts per IP" rubbish on this forum and others, there is many people out there botting just one account and a main account at that, that has had a automatic goldfarming ban, I was one of them through testing as well as my brother who had a main and never botted any other account, he lives on his own and uses his own IP.

A goldfarming ban is now a loose term for an automatic ban, you don't even have to be goldfarming, it's just the namesake they use when you get hit, it is similar to how blizzard ban with their "exploitative abuse of the economy" bans, when you are actually doing jack all to the economy and doing quests lol. They are just trying to confuse you guys and to be honest from a lot of the posts on here, it seems to be working.

TL;DR - A goldfarming ban doesn't have to be goldfarming.

This and the guy above are in the right direction.

just bot one acc at one time and u won't get banned, pretty simple...

They've just flagged your IP i think, never listen to what the actual offence is because that isn't always true, they just wack any offence on to get you banned,

Next time please read the whole thread before posting, pretty simple...

Same here, was killing Ghouls and got banned for Gold Farming, was like wtf...

Just me but I run 10-15 Bots off of 1 static IP provided by AT&T, I was hit with 1 Perma in november "Bot busting Major" So I purchased a new IP. Then got hit in December for a "Bot busting Moderate" but didn't change the IP. It's been about a month and a few weeks since. I exchange the gold to 1 legit account every night(same IP), and haven't had a problem, and never been mass banned. Am I just getting lucky?

Also, I don't bot during the english daytime hours, and baby my bots as much as possible. I also try to remotely connect via VNC if i'm out for a long time.
