Not sure if it's been posted before but code.org is a great place to go to if you want to learn and practice coding. I'm a complete newbie and I've been messing around. It will give you an option to go to other "schools" which are free to use such as codeacademy.com

 

I haven't messed with the others but with Code Academy they offer a bunch of different languages. I've been messing with Java and PHP. It's a great interface. I recommend everyone check it out.
