Specs Needed for 30 Bots?

Featured Replies

Hello what specs are needed to run 30 bots?

And can anyone suggest me a dedicated server?

Thanks.

Half Off-Topic. This will cost you Alot.

30 bot is much you will need a pretty awesome pc to run that much bot at the same time.. So it will cost you lot..

Motherboard: Asus sabertooth 990FX

Graphics card: Sapphire toxic r9 280x 3gb the only reason to use this is the 3 GB 384bit interface, 6400 MHz memory clock and the main reason is 3 fans

Processor: The minimum should the AMD FX8320 am3+

RAM: You will needmuch so at least 16 but I'd prefer 32. From rams the best choice are Corsair Vengeance from this the DDR3 2000 MHz

Winchester: I don't think that you will need much free space so I'd say TOSHIBA 1TB 32mb SATA3

Cooling: You must use the best water cooling system because the processor generates fucking big temperature (60-65 °C) sooo Cooler Master seidon 240M

Power supply: You will need many watts couse the processor and graphics cars I would say Corsair TX850M (I'm using this too)

I'd say 10000$

EDIT: Case: Cooler Master Chosmos II ultra

You don't need a hench GPU

An computer, which would run 30 bots~ might cost you alot, a better choice would be having two seperate computers that could run 15 bots each, that way you might end up using the same or a smaller amount of electricity.

The following will run 20+ bots(Personally I can run nearly 30 bots with Low CPU, although it gets quite laggy):

GA-78LMT-USB3 Motherboard

AMD FX-8350 processor(it has 8 cores with 4.0 ghz each, turbo is 4.2ghz, the processor is unlocked aswell and you can easily overclock(keep in mind that you will need good cooling).

You should get 4x4GB ram(I personally have Kingston 1600mhz ram chips, you don't need anything fancy).

The motherboard has integrated graphics, so you will not need an graphics card!

Overall this is a very budget build, with which you get most for you dollar, although it is strictly for botting, but you could game on it very nicely if you would get a nice graphics card ! :)

How much would this cost?

I doubt you can run 30 bots on single PC. The reason is CPU. I could run only 25 on I7-3930K, and they are lagging like to 6 FPS. So, not all scripts can run flawless. Maybe I7-4770k will be some % better.

You dont need high-end video for Runescape Oldschool. Also, you dont need much RAM - 24GB will be okay (but better to take 32, do you know how many memory will eat OsBot2?)

I built it for around $500, I used all new parts, but I received a discount on parts(something like 30%).

This is including all parts, such as case, HDD, etc.

Aswell people are suggesting 24-32gb ram, that's not necessary! I believe could run what I run on 12GB fine, but I have 16GB as this build is with dual channel, you get more speed if you use 2 or 4 chips, instead of 3, If I put 12GB it would have 3 chips :/

OSBot only uses alot of memory upon it's start up, after some time the amount of RAM usage drops, aswell I suggest using memory cleaner software.

masteris, are you sure FX-8350 can run 30 bots??? What did you do with it then??? AMD FX is a shitty asshole in terms of performance compared to Core I7.

I have 4 FX-81xx comps, and none of them can handle even 15 bots normally.

It can handle it on 100% usage + slight overclocking, low cpu function and my own script.

We are looking at a budget build, it really competes with most of the i7 models, besides a few, which most would cost more than this whole build and give only a slight boost in performance. Paying for an i7 in my opinion is not worth it.

I am talking money, it is more worth it to buy the FX-8350 for botting, than an i7, as you will profit more and the electricity usage is only slightly higher with the AMD.

Everything that I said here is my opinion and experience, I own some i7's, but I prefer AMD's for the price and am not looking to buy more i7's in the future, if I would go for Intel - I would go for server processors only, suchs as Dual X5570 processors(Used cost around $100-$120 on ebay, but give a great performance, although a motherboard for dual processors would cost alot.).

I would also go with Dual xeons, and 8350 might be better at some tasks against lets say i5-3570k that`s around same price

I'm not looking to build a computer, I'm looking to rent a dedicated server guys.

Honestly price would be around 1800-2200. You possibly could build 3-4 computers for 500 each and do 10 bots each on them. Might be more cost efficient if you know how to build your own computer.
