If you do not understand what I mean in the title then just ignore this post.

 

I would recommend reading Bertrand Russell's History of Western Philosophy (or listening to the audio version of it which is available on YouTube). It's quite comprehensive, easy to read (as philosophy goes), and will probably get you thinking in ways you haven't before. Most of the chapters give some biographical information, a summary of important philosophical ideas, and will show how they fit into the rest of the history of Western thought. Russell has is own views and is quite critical of almost everyone he covers; however, should you find any of the philosophers he covers to be particularly interesting, you can ditch the Russell and go read their writings for yourself. Here are Descartes, Locke, and Hume. I suspect you might find them of interest, but if not, there are many other chapters to look at.

Who is your daddy and what does he do?

 

 

I will not disclose the name of my father, but he is an Occupational Health and Safety Inspector for the Ministry of Labour - Ontario.

Will check this out, i find myself doing that from time to time... and sometimes i find it unexplainable..... maybe this will enlighten me :)
