Perma-Ban - Help me understand?

Featured Replies

Hi -

Just got a perma-ban on an account with no previous offenses. My understanding was you typically get a 2-day first, than a perma ban.

1 - Is there a rhyme or reason to when you're offered a perma-ban vs. temporary?

2 - I assume botting on the same proxy is a bad idea, but is it worth shifting the other accounts on that proxy to a new one? Or are they basically "black marked" and not worth trying to preserve.

3 - Is there a "cool-down" period on these other accounts being watched more closely?

This is an account that had been active for 5+ years. Recently botting the last 2 months or so with breaks, but admittedly pretty heavily. I'm not mad about it - just trying to understand as a newer botter.

Cheers,

Mark

Well I will say if your name was anything close to “Mark” you’re probably already being monitored by Mod Mark. That aside, I’ve been noticing people talking about bans on these forums recently so I’ve stopped betting on accounts I really care about and I’ve avoided bot type bottling activities (mage, pest control, nmz, thieving, etc). What were you betting when you got banned?

In my experience, my accounts that get their first bans as members always get 2 day bans and non member accounts are perm banned on the first go. Not sure if this is how it always goes, but that's been my experience.

Welcome to botting.

Perma bans happen more often during Prime events. F2p Accounts generally get a perm on the first strike.

This guide might help you reduce bans, but they will still happen regardless.

Cheers

i've gotten some 1500+ accounts roasted with perm bans while lower accounts (1000+) only got 2 days. just unlucky sadly

Definitely try to recover the account still, permanent doesn't always mean permanent. I used the give me another chance option to recover a couple of accounts recently.

that mostly works on accounts banned more than 3 years ago.

Every account I have tried to recover has worked, most being the day they were banned and one only being a few month back of a ban.

i have only had accounts that had bans that are over 3 years old unbanned, i tried one that was under that and used the same thing that got the others unbanned but it was the only one that was not unbanned.

How do you recover an account?

That's interesting.

Appeal the permanent ban. There are 3 options and 2 of them make sense for us botters depending on what you are trying to do.
