Hello guys, I wonder

How much do I have to lear nthis game to bot properly?

I have one kind person who is willing to guide me through step by step in botting, but I have never touched this game before.

I made new char and bumped all skills to 10/10, I wonder how much more knowledge is needed, like WHAT IS THE CRUCIAL POINT of LEARNING that I have to hit, so I dont have problems with botting in future.

I dont wanna do 99 skills tho..

It's extremely difficult to bot osrs it without knowing the game.

How will you know what to bot? What goals to set? The requirements for what you want to bot? etc etc etc.

I noticed that every script has requirements written? I can just google most of staff that I do not understand, that way I could learn

I agree there are facets to the game that are beyond the norm but for gold farming methods that dont require hundreds of quest points or extreme requirements its not difficult to grasp the osrs wiki.

@forumaccount you will be making scraps and he would still need to learn how to get past tutorial, initial bans, gold's worth, etc etc etc. Not worth it unless you live in a country where you earn like $20 a month.

Yeah most do, and it's up to you to make sure you understand what those requirements are. Once you have something going on, then you have to learn how to mule, offload, etc. The learning curve can be steep for those who know the game, so I'd say to play the game a bit before jumping into botting.

i feel like your post is almost antagonistic. if you set a 100 bots with basic breaks a percentage will slip through the cracks.

doesnt take a sock scientist to google some methods and read some basic info. holy we all started somewhere and your making it sound like theres a secret code....

if there was more magic to it, we all wouldnt have the same options per bot....

research, google, practice, make mistakes, dont invest more than your willing to throw in the bin, nice way to try sell pvt scripts tho the quality of khals bots speaks for itself.

It is not antagonistic. I'm being realistic.

-People who know the game struggle to start and keep a farm going.
-Most people quit before they even make back their investment.

^^ These are facts and things I see on a monthly basis.

I make and sell scripts, profiting off new botters. I could just encourage the guy and make a sale while I'm at it. This is just me, with years of experience, providing what I believe is some good advice: Learn the game before you start botting.

poor bot devs and poor scripts
fact is osbot scripts are lacking take a look at the bug reports as ive been told API between clients is similar

the difference is the effort devs put in, and other than khal.... devs put in 0,00001 on osbot look at the forums. not a single slayer bot works, stealth PGF is broken with no eta on tokens return.  forums get ignored

With a lot of the early game money makers you also have to come to understand the games economy. My first successful farm I was pulling in more flour in a day than I could ever realistically sell in a week lol. But the wiki has information on how much of which items are traded daily. The more people botting this and that means less profit for that particular method especially for methods that don't require quests/skills. It's not that it can't be done, you'd just have a bit more of an advantage if you actually knew the game

Bans mainly come from other flags if the script works well (Eg, doesn't get stuck, etc.)

I know some scripters, besides Khal, that put a lot of effort on their scripts. I see where you are coming from, though, and I do have to agree that more active scripters are needed atm.
