When using ATMercher in a crowded area, all the bots around a 5 spot radius or more will run towards it, looks like a big giveaway when 7 people run at the same to time to a strange plant random. Could it be recognized in a smaller grid to stop the mob from running at plants?

I think it has to do with the method to detect the random.

If you're merchering, i'm pretty sure you never get a plant random right? So this will save you. Click the options menu on the client next to the "+", click over to "Randoms" and uncheck "Strange Plant". Doing that will make your bot never interact with Strange plants. I have mine off when i'm merching in varrock, you can't get one there unless some fucker is killing guards and gets one, so that helps
