April 24, 201312 yr Yes, you may wonder. "Favourite supermarket? What's he going on about?"Well, we all know that there are hundreds of types of supermarkets, in many different countries. But which one do YOU like the most? And why?Every supermarket has its' good points and its' bad points, so please remain respectful in your discussions. As for me, my favourite store is the Tesco. A store that is unfortunately non-existant in the Netherlands, Tesco is a proven succes story. Fair prices and good stocks, as well as great products lead me to believe Tesco is one of the most awesome supermarkets around. Where many supermarkets have tried to re-invent themselves and failed, Tesco has managed to, just like the American Wal-Mart, effectively change the way we shop at a supermarket completely. Anything from clothing to baguettes can be bought in bulk with ease, and the staff is generally more than happy to assist you. Also, larger Tesco's in e.g. Czech Republic and Poland often come with their own restaurants and shopping malls, so you have absolutely everything you would ever need in one place. These things put together, along with the fact that I've had the pleasure of eating the best Polish hotdog I've ever eaten right outside a Tesco in Poland, make the Tesco my favourite supermarket to go to. Well ladies and gentleman, please do tell your favourite supermarkets, and discuss the positive and negative sides of other peoples' favourite supermarkets for as long as you can keep it respectful!
