April 1, 201312 yr What does CnC stand for? It stands for comment and critique. How would I give a proper CnC? It's very simple, all you need to do is go over the elements that make up a tag, and expand on them, telling them what they did right and what they did wrong. Tell them what you like and what you don't like. Don't feel the need to hold back on people when doing this, this is how artist learn and adapt to their mistakes. Example of a good CnC: I really like your use of colors in this particular piece; not only are they blended well together, but they also do a very good-job of accenting each other and helping to boost the power of your focal. My one recommendation in regards to the colors however would be to boost the contrast. Right now they seem sort of dull so really amping them up would really benefit this piece. This lighting is pretty decent, however it does seem relatively forced so I'd really recommend either toning it down a bit or working on blending it in a bit more. The composition is fantastic and I love the placement of your effects, however it feels like the depth was relatively forced. I'd like to see you bring more effects into the foreground as right now everything feels like it is in the background. The great thing I noticed about your execution was that in your use of effects and lighting the flow of the piece is very well accomplished, thus my eyes are pulled right to your intentional focal. Though the achievement of atmosphere through use of space stocks is relatively common, I do appreciate your execution of it here. Very nice work and I look forward to seeing more! Example of a bad CnC: This is really bad, needs more work 3/10. Good example of CnC quote credits to Matt.
April 1, 201312 yr Moved to General>Discussion. Sorry, but there was not a section in the Graphic's section that I could put this in. I will ask Kati to make a "Guides" or something of that sort in the graphics forum and the post will be moved there. Thanks for your post though.
