Just started playing again after a few years break. Lost my account so made a new one, need opinions on whether to stay pure with 1 Def or to go Tank with 70 Def. Whats stronger for pk and pvm?

You can make quite a bit of money pure pking :P

Completely depends on what you plan on doing. If you will be PVMing a main or range tank would be best. Pures don't make big GP unless you get a risk fight going on. I have a 1 def 96 range ags pure and every kill is maybe 50k-100k ish. But on my AGS dh pure, most kills are 150k+

i literally made 100m+ in two months of pure pking.
