Koont
Hey! This is so random and I don't know if anyone would even know but I think there are some very smart members on osbot so.... someone I work with got ripped off for £13,000 over a fake eBay link on an action they won and they have the police involved but they can't seem to do much at the moment and seem to be dragging her along, and I know there are some clever computering people and I was wondering if there is a way to ping the address URL back to the location it was officially sent from? Or another way to find their exact location from their IP address or something. Thanks.
Carti
Doubt anyone here has the skills to trace someone back through multiple layers of security. They've probably used a VPN + the use of RDP + tor browser and probably some more layers of anonimity I don't know about, so it's very hard for an average person to trace them to their true IP. How do you get phished 13k though. Lol
