user does not have access privileges

Featured Replies

This is my first post so here goes:
I keep getting an error and need it fixed... this happens several minutes after I open Microsoft Word document. I will start a new document and this message pops up, Word cannot open the document: user does not have access privileges.
Can anyone advise what could have caused this and how to repair Word document?

Thanks

I think you joined the wrong forums. We don't bot Microsoft word, we bot a game called Oldschool Runescape.

When did this problem happen? Recently or right after installing word? Just re-install word.

Can you run word as admin? Is your account limited or admin?

We need more info OP.

LOOOL ,... any how.. , are you the computer administrator? if not set your privileges.... log on to your parents account go to ...  my computer\Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts ....  in there set your account to administrator, or share privileges .

welcome to OSBOT forums NOT microsoft forums

Recommend you to right-click on the doc file and open it with Chrome.

If the file opens, you would need to reinstall Microsoft Office. Contact Microsoft for assistance.

If the file does not open, then the file is corrupted.

In this case read info here: http://www.doc.repair/
