Renewing IP via CMD

Featured Replies

If i renew my IP via CMD does this change the IP that Jagex sees? I've been botting on my home IP and I want to start clean.

Thanks!

No, that resets your local IP not your public IP. Restart router for a new IP.

Don't want to correct you, but different companies handle ip changes differently. I'd have to call my company to get my IP changed.

You can't just reset your router for an IP change lmao. It all depends on the ISP you're on and if your IP is static or dynamic. If it's static, it won't change until you ask them for a change (or they decide to give you a new ip ). If it's dynamic, there are different ways to changing it. Either by using their  online dash, restarting your Modem/ONT box (only if it supports it) or pushing the "reset ip" button o n your ONT box (it's very rare to get one of those lol).

Ah okay. I'm going to see if I can dig up what's required to get it changed with my ISP. May just call them in the AM.  I appreciate all the feedback here fellas. Good stuff.
