Does it help in solving for something specific? Because it seems counter-intuitive to get the radical out of the numerator when we're taught to rationalize the denominator

It's like expressing 2/6 as 1/3.

Thanks, Also isn't this how you'd rationalize the numerator? (sqroot3/3)*(sqroot3/sqroot3)=(3/3sqroot3)=(1/sqroot3)? I didn't see where you got your 9 in your answer.
