run a jar on ubuntu

Hey all,

 

the reason why i normal always go for a windows server. always trouble with linux(yeay prop my own fold)

but now i have installed everything like xfce and vnc. now when i try to run a .jar file it doenst do anything.

and yes java is installed.

 

 

 

anybody knows what might work?

How did you run it? via terminal?
