  2. It really boils down to how long do you want this community to stay a float. Lots of valid points being brought to light by the OP, and I have to say I agree. Look at wBot, as it might suck to be constantly compared to a different service, I just wanted to make it clear that all of the popular bots were only spread around through word of mouth; and look at what happened. (Also; this website is still pretty underground, I've only seen it mentioned ONE other time and I constantly check p****bot and other sites like that to see what the word is on wBot/ other services, so there is still ample time to make a change. The wBot community actually increased it's population by 10x the regular amount, from like 50 regular users to well over 8 THOUSAND. This, inevitably led to the wbots demise, with popularity comes notice; and Jagex definitely took notice. If you guys decide to not make this limited, which ofc is up to you (and I don't mean to try and sway your decision, after all I have only one post and I am fairly new here and have only really been lurking.) you will eventually lose this community, because Jag will sue you and have you in litigations until god knows when.. However, there are safety measures that can be put in place. Disclaimers, which for some reason wBot refused to include on their homepage, legally banning any Jagex working/affiliate from entering the website. Also, I'm not sure if invite ONLY would work, cause it just causes awful behaviour and ego trips for some people; however I feel that limiting the amount of sign-ups per month would really help in keeping the service alive, again thinking about longevity here. It's nice to bot for two weeks, but it's really nice to be able to log your bot with out worry the devs were sued or anything of the like. Again, I'm still fairly new here and I've really only chatted in the shout box, so that's just my two cents.
