    Only buy a Mac if you enjoy using the Mac OS. Otherwise do what other people are saying and pick a better option. My $0.02: Get the i5/8GB. Most software does not use simultaneous multithreading, so the i7 is not necessary. If you like having leaving all of your tabs open, run many bots, or run virtual machines then it might be worth upgrading to 16GB.
