  1. Learn A* first. It was one of the first algorithms I learned and it's really simple, trust me.

Practice A* with a tile-based 2D game first then build up from there to gain a better understanding.

  2. I'm being 100% serious, but in middle school I could type at roughly 140 WPM in keyboarding class.

After that, my typing died out because I found no use for typing that fast. Although, it did help with essays in high school. It took me less than 20 minutes to type a 5 page research paper.

  3. No, because there could be a serious issue with an update, and you just bail out with the money you made and leave everyone who bought it shit out of luck. Especially since your account is very new.

I'd never have the need to "bail out with money" if I got enough of my own money. I just want to provide HQ scripts to the community. I'm not going to put in a lot of effort into a large script and give it out for free.

  4. imBlastFurnace

Utilizes the Blast Furnace to get Smithing XP and profit off of Steel, Mithril, Adamantite, and Mithril and Runite bars.

Title will be "imBlastFurnace by imScripts"

I need one paint GUI showing time running, XP/hr, GP/hr, Smith XP gained, Levels gained.

I need another panel/GUI showing Strength, Agility, Crafting, and Firemaking XP gained.

    Thanks.

  5. I Could be wrong also but i dont think you are allowed to under cut current scripts?

I didn't try to undercut anyone. I'm not competing with any other script and I never checked out any other script's price or features/abilities.

I'll update the thread and add a disclaimer that I'm not competing with anyone. My next script after this will be something more out of the mainstream hopefully so I won't have to deal with any issues like this again.

For my first script for this community, I'll be releasing imBlastFurnace.

From my script you will earn the most to near-most efficient XP/hr and GP/hr possible.

It will be requested as a premium script for a one time payment of $14.99. Price change may vary based off of community approval.

    [Logo Coming Soon!]

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 30 Smithing

    Recommended Requirements:

    • 30 Crafting
    • 30 Agility
    • 30 Firemaking
    • 30 Strength
    • 50+ - 85 Smithing [For Mithril, Adamantite, and Runite bars]

    Features:

    • Sleek and descriptive GUI
    • Beautiful in-game painted GUI, optional to minimize, drag, or click and enable other statistics.
    • Statistics to show XP made [smithing, strength, etc] as well as how much profit made based off of GE prices.
    • Ability to complete all jobs if necessary [optional], and only does them if bars are not complete yet.
    • Smart, efficient task handler framework to perform important tasks first before doing other jobs [if you selected jobs].
    • Support for paying foreman.
    • Coal bag support.
    • Optional use of stamina and energy potions.

I will soon be posting progress screenshots as well as a progress video on the whole script in its first version as well.

    Release date: 5/8/15

  7. What "true knowledge"? And knowing how to work an IDE is not actually programming. Fixing errors is as easy as googling. Can't say you've shown any programming skills yet. I'm not trying to offend, but if you want to show off your status as a programmer, show some of your work. Talk is talk

Idk.. From what I see, he simply suggested. You're the one who took it personal, throwing around attacks.

I'm not understanding. What are you proving? He didn't say "You have to use a different IDE to fix the error".

There's no need for the insults. If you think someone is wrong, whats the problem with nicely letting them know? Please, try to keep it clean man.. If you wanna continue this, send a message so we don't get this thread locked. I'm only willing to continue this if it's not on this thread, or if it's insult free and to the point (on-topic)

Never claimed an IDE is true programming. You didn't read what we were even arguing about.

Don't get into something you don't understand fully. I'll stop responding if you stop.

    Roasted?

I gave my opinion on an IDE and you came in guns blazing about how you can do anything and program anything in any IDE, as though it matters, that isnt even what the topic was about.

You basically came in here unprovoked attempting to bash other people on a topic where you had no knowledge, and didnt even provide anything backing your nonsense statements.

You like to ramble with no proof of your knowledge. No wonder all post were deleted.

Again, kid, you don't have a degree or former education in Computer Science. You sit here telling someone to use a different IDE for an error that ANY REAL PROGRAMMER CAN COMPREHEND that doesn't need a different IDE installed. It was literally the most simple error a self-claimed experienced programmer can see and solve; something that you're incapable of.

I had no knowledge? Prove it. Oh wait, that can't happen. You got shat on with the true knowledge of a real programmer, unlike your uneducated ignorant self who jumped out of the argument and reported my posts because you are, in general, a moron.

I'm not rambling, I'm proving you wrong; and I did. You run away from the conversation and you still respond (the irony, lmao) like the arrogant fuck that you are. It's not hard to leave and accept how stupid you really are, but I guess you can't accept that stage of life yet.

Have fun getting paid $10K a year from the scripts you sell and not having a real career. You gave me a laugh at how fucking ignorant you are.

Probably because it wasn't in the "roast scripters" section, and was thus considered off topic.

If you would like to debate programming, I do not suggest going to a botting community to do so (gotta admit, that's pretty sad itself). You don't need to be a professional programmer to create scripts for bots, so I'm guessing the problem was you assumed otherwise. Although some of the programmers here are very talented, you shouldn't expect professional grade knowledge from every developer here.

If you would like to debate programming, feel free to message me; I'm always willing to talk/debate about programming related things.

Constructive criticism is nice, but attacking others is not. Please, next time, if you see someone who may lack knowledge, help them; don't attack

Nope, I'm justifiably proving someone wrong for posting on a thread telling someone to do something completely unnecessary because they can't comprehend simple errors that have to do with IDEs.

I never said or implied anything about professionalism. Why are you talking like the middleman if you are that illiterate?

Hello. I'm new to this bot but I am however experienced with programming in Java and RuneScape bots.

I'm just letting anyone know that if you attempt to create a script, or in specific terms code a script with the Java programming language without ANY prior experience, you will NOT get far.

Don't immediately assume you can just hop on the coding bandwagon and whip up a nice script with simplicity. Programming takes logical reasoning to a whole new level; sure you can make the MOST SIMPLE script there can be, but you'll never be able to achieve full priority of developing a hands-down impeccable or nearly flawless script.

Programming takes patience, rationality, and organization.

I suggest having at least one years experience of programming, if not even more (highly recommended) before taking on something that you are fairly new to. Many high schools offer Computer Science or Computer Programming courses (advanced or not advanced) that can push you to learn any programming language within a year. I also recommend, if you are doing this right now, to practice programming in your spare time. Find yourself projects to work on such as a game or a challenge to develop an algorithm that you are fond of. (The A* pathfinding algorithm is a fairly good approach to start at)

Along with this useful advice coming from someone who took has 4 years of experience in Java, I also suggest looking into these links:

    Getting Started with Java

    Java Version 7 Documentation

    Java Version 8 Documentation

Version 8 of Java is the newest and latest version to date.

Some fairly good IDEs (Integrated Development Environments) are:

    Eclipse

    Netbeans

    IntelliJ

    BlueJ

And to finalize my first thread (which is what I usually post for other people on other forums):

Never give up. Don't belittle yourself and put the MOST effort you can into the time space you have; you can achieve anything. When you are programming, never think of it for the money. Think of it as a list of challenges that you must face and re-iterate, test, and rinse/repeat until you bring it to the utmost product that you deem it as.
