Shmeekz Posted April 23, 2015 Share Posted April 23, 2015 Hello guys, I've tried to set up REALVNC with my VPS,The problem is I keep getting this error when I try to connect to my vps through VNC viewer"read: connection reset by peers"and then I also get this from my anti-virus, not sure if it is any related. pic removed, don't show your IP Thanks for people that will be willing to helpmy vps OS is windows. Vag Posted April 23, 2015 Share Posted April 23, 2015 Port 5900 is default port for VNC. And I assume the IP removed is the IP used by virtual machine. The error means that a TCP RST was received and the connection is now closed. This occurs when a packet is sent from your end of the connection but the other end does not recognize the connection; it will send back a packet with the RST bit set in order to forcibly close the connection. Shmeekz Posted April 23, 2015 Author Share Posted April 23, 2015 Ok so, I actually just connected to my VPS through the company's cPanel KVM, then connected with VNC again, and its working now.. not sure how.. but yeah.. I even closed the connection with KVM and connected with VNC again and it still worked... thanks a lot guys for the helpand thank you admin for removing my pic cus of IP lmao.
