Only good video I've ever been able to find about coding for OSBot. Really helped me out with the basics. If you already know how to write a script then just watch the first few minutes where he shows you how to download Eclipse, set up a new class, etc.

I think it really depends on what you want to bring forward with you java. I personally think Netbeans has a way better JPanel designer (Eclipse's Windowbuilder really sucks) but since I got used to eclipse before I knew about netbeans I just use both.

If you want to max out the things that both IDE's offer I think you will be able to do more with eclipse eventually but when you start out you it wont really matter

put some effort in getting comfortable with an IDE, such as eclipse or intelIJ, as none of them are better. they're both very good and take some getting used to, but it's pretty much personal preference in the beginning.

here's a great book if you prefer reading instead of watching youtube vids(as personally do, as it's easier to skip things I already knew) but again, personal preference
