Earlier tonight a dude was live streaming on twitch doing a 5B giveaway on OSRS. His twitch channel: https://www.twitch.tv/morgancooling Apparently this guy is a gold farmer and he said on stream that he was making $30K USD/Month and he did legitimately give away 5B on stream. He mentioned that he is currently in the process of finishing up some new bot that he is going to release to the public. Not only did he say he will be releasing a bot, but he will also be releasing some sort of "bot detction" that will detect any and all bots in OSRS? He summed it up saying that he is basically going to flood the game with so many bots that it's going to force jagex to take action against botting. Not sure what to make of the whole thing, but he did seem to be somewhat serious, and who in their right mind just willingly gives away 5,000,000,000 osrs GP? He said the release will happen July 14th. Is this man single handily going to wipe out the existence of bots by flooding the game with so many it forces action to be taken? JULY 14th! IDontEB Posted July 1, 2020 Share Posted July 1, 2020 (edited) Doubtful. Updates happen on thursdays. Also jagex would never end f2p. They spent so much time trying to kill off the f2p farms for them to end it. Also in terms of catching bots, f2p bots are the hardest to catch if you're doing it without jagex handing you the data. They barely show up on the highscores. For p2p bots, you can find bots easier, but still hard to differentiate between bot and a fucking vene. dabswax Posted July 1, 2020 Share Posted July 1, 2020 Will believe it when I see it,, as for the "5b" giveaway, 5b=3kUSD? give or take?, 1000 subs would pay for that just about I think if I understand twitch properly, which wouldn't be to hard to achieve with huge giveaways like that id think. But, he could run a gold selling site, be an acc cracker or many other options. Giving away gp doesn't necessarily scream "Ive developed an AI bot to detect and be better than other bots!".
